Cellophane
Nothing against Cellophane per se, it’s just trying to get it off that’s the problem. DVD’s in particular appear to be wrapped for freshness (why?). My children get through films like shelling peas and we have burgeoning shelves and cupboards of them. But although my six-year-old boy can operate all the gadgets you could possibly imagine he still struggles to take the cellophane off of DVDs. Don’t suppose a little paper seal would do it instead?
While I’m at it, why do DVDs have these cardboard sleeves that have exactly the same pictures and information on them as the DVD case? We used to keep these but I tend to dump them now at the same time as I throw away the cellophane.
